The annual meeting of APSI members was held on October 29, 2020.

The work of the management Board during the reporting period was considered "Satisfactory".

The main activities of the management Board were:
1. Continuation of the Board's work on marking footwear and clothing, considering it a priority.
2. Strengthening the activities of the Board on the production and sale of children's clothing and footwear.
3. Fight against counterfeit products of sports industry enterprises.
4. Issues related to the problems of acquiring retail networks of APSI member organizations.
5. issues of import substitution of products for sports facilities and structures.

The Ministry of Sports of Russia discussed issues of digital transformation for regions

A meeting on digital transformation for the country's regions was held in the Ministry of sports of the Russian Federation via videoconference.

Deputy Minister of sports of the Russian Federation Andrey Selsky presented to regional authorities approaches to digital transformation of physical culture and sports at the Federal and regional levels, a draft departmental program for digital transformation of the Ministry of sports of Russia, key priorities for digitalization at the regional level, as well as a library of digital solutions in the field of physical culture and sports for the regions.

The renowned Soviet hockey player, two-time Olympic champion, nine-time world champion, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1963), Honored Coach of the RSFSR. For the great contribution to development of the national sports and many years of hard work Vyacheslav Starshinov was decorated with many awards. Most important among them are the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and the Order for Merit to the Fatherland.

The Association of Sports Industry Enterprises (APSI) was created in April of 2004.

The Association unites both the leading players of sports industry and the smaller companies:

Manufacturers of sporting goods (apparel, footwear, equipment, accessories);
Distributors;
Wholesalers and retailers;
Builders of sports facilities, stadiums, sites.

On June 15, 2004 APSI became the member of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI). In January 2006 APSI joined the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI).

Under the initiative of the Association, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation created the Subcommittee for Promotion of Entrepreneurship in the Sports Industry and Sports, headed by the APSI President Vyacheslav Starshinov.

APSI participates in the activities of the Standing Working Group on the Development of the Sports Industry under the the Presidium of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports.

APSI engages with the public bodies of virtually all federal ministries and departments vital for the development of the sports industry (the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Public Chamber of Russia, the Ministry of Sport of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia, FA Rosstandart, Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Customs Committee of Russia).
