World Bicycles Relief is celebrating its 15th anniversary with “Faces of Change” campaign

World Bicycle Relief - Since its beginnings in 2005, the global nonprofit has worked as a catalyst for change, helping vulnerable people conquer the challenge of distance. The specially designed, rugged Buffalo Bicycles and comprehensive programs have proved to be life-changing for more than 535,000 students, health workers and entrepreneurs in rural developing regions. The organization has also trained more than 2,400 bike mechanics in the program regions to make the impact sustainable.

Around the world, in this challenging year 2020, bicycles are experienced as a safe and reliable form of mobility. We use them for sports, fun or to commute safely and independantly from public transport – for the poorest of the poor bicycles they keep businesses going when other transport does not exist any more and they provide access to water, food, education and health care. This is why they are more important than ever before.
